With its four doors and great height making it very useful. As mentioned the piece survives in good condition. We have a deep rounded tone to the aged oak, the solid sides and frame are warp, split and crack free, the plinth is deep and sits straight.
The slightly overhanging thick solid oak top has marks but nothing new and is delightfully smooth with wear. The paneled doors are good with the original brass knobs in place - we have key escutcheons, sadly no locks but not a big concern. The back board is good, firm and original to the piece.
Altogether a well balanced and well aged cabinet, with solid weight. A super piece of British educational furniture in fine order C. Dimensions - Overall: Height 107cm x Width 191cm x Depth 42.5cm.
