Like a finger print the oak wood grain is unique and not one piece is the same. Solid oak varies in grain depth, pattern and colour and therefore you will see natural differences in colour within each item of furniture and within the solid oak used. The limed oak finish is designed to accentuate the oak grain and therefore items with deeper grain structures will appear whiter in appearance compared to pieces with shallower oak grain structures. This is because the deeper oak grains will hold more of the white wax that is hand rubbed into it to get the desired limed oak effect.
